Hitachi elevators, escalators and moving walkways are manufactured at the Mito Building Systems Division which is conveniently located about 100km northeast of Tokyo. At the Mito Building Systems Division, the entire line of production is computer controlled, from the issue of production orders to the arrangement of man-power, preparation of materials and manufacturing process itself. Hitachi’s renowned reliability, performance and riding comfort are ensured thanks to computer-aided design, integrated plate working, numerically controlled machining, and automatic painting and wiring machines, as well as strict tests.
