With the centering of business in cities, new buildings are rising higher than ever. These buildings require that elevators run at speeds faster than ever before. To meet this requirements, Hitachi has developed technology to allow elevators to achieve the super high speed of 1200m/min. The Hitachi High Speed/Ultra High Speed Elevator, running at speeds between 180 and 540m/min, handles capacity loads from 900 to 2000kg.
Elevators must harmonize with a building's architectural concepts: design, living and work space, and all supplemental functions. The Hitachi High Speed Elevator offers many design choice for car interior, entrances, and indicators. Choose the elevator shape, colour, and finish from a menu offering a wide range of selections to meet the needs of different building types.
Being able to choose the opening and closing speed of the doors allows you to easily adjust the speed to match your building's use and user demands for the elevator. The system comes with an overload detection function and the doors pull back quickly when bumped or caught on something.

Hitachi has developed for elevators a high speed gearless Traction Machine which uses high efficiency compact induction motor. By introducing the high efficiency compact induction motor and double disc brake, it is possible to achieve high efficiency, a compact design and very smooth high speed elevators. At the same time, Hitachi has also reduced the height of the machine by introducing the disc brake.
For safety equipment and door zone signals, Hitachi uses 2 micro-processors to ensure the safety. In case any minor trouble occurs, the micro-processors detect the problem, and correct it automatically.
The microcomputer has rapidly progressed and become smaller with higher performances to pursue elevator safety and to improve its capacity.
Furthermore, we have developed a graphic monitor system, which enables you to monitor the car’s status, e.g. position and direction and to check the state of cars on the personal computer screen (Optional).
We also have provided an evaporation type air-conditioner, which discards using drain tank and hose (Optional).
The multi-beam sensor will provide smooth going in or out by detecting the passenger's motion with many infrared rays (Optional).
